Description
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the Medical Services Department in the delivery of the institution's medical services.
Performance Standards:
- Ensure that all client health information is kept confidential in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in or provide supervision of clients during on-campus doctor’s appointments or client trainings.
- Transport and supervise client s during medical, dental, optical, or other health care appointments off-campus, as assigned.
- Supervise "sick" client s in the hospital, clinic, or sick bay setting.
- Assist the department with administrative tasks related to maintaining accurate medical records for clients.
- Assist the department with activities related to client and staff trainings.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Completed High School Diploma or GED certificate
- Valid driver's license
- Consent to and pass pre-employment background checks.
